Google What Song Is This Not Working

OK, now... this is just too much, and just simply too ridiculous.

Look, as off about 2 months ago Google Assistant, Nest, Home ...What ever the heck they are calling it now, has just gone to absolute rubbish.

Dont tell me to clear this or restart that, I have done it all.

In fact I have actually completely wiped my entire system and even factory reset every device on it, Some 60+ odd device mind you (TVs, tablets, speakers, phones, lights, sensors, cameras, etc.) and created a whole new system from scratch and I am still getting the same issues.

HOWEVER.....

This one takes the cake....FFS

OK.. so...I am hearing a song I want to know, on a show playing on the TV

So....I get my phone and click on the assistant to get it to listen.

It automatically suggests, correctly mind you, to ask "What is this song?"

Great....I click....

And It tells me, like it seems a couple of other people on here have also askedbut posts are locked now..... that....It also needs to know the device as well???

I mean WTF?

This was never a problem in the past and worked fine.

So I come to the Google Assisant community to find help.

Help says Clear data and Cache...yes done.

Go back to song select Google Assistant (GA) and again it says it needs the device too.....For the love of Joseph and Mary.

So... using my farely advance IT skills.... I decide to see what it does if its quiet...

and fair enough it DOES NOT automatically suggest to ask What song is this... great, no song play, no song suggestion.... exactly right.

AND HERE IS THE KICKER....So then I ask, with my voice,

While there is NO... MUSIC... PLAYING....Whats this Song.... and would you believe it....it starts the equaliser bars display listening for a song to identify....CAN YOU Fing BELIEVE IT.

OK... So.... I go back to the song on the TV and and hit the GA and select the suggestion Whats this song, and low and behold, it says it needs to know the device....I mean for real.... are you kidding me.

So then I say it to the GA... and again it needs to the know the device. FFS.

OK so I am trying to out wit this useless piece of garbage... and pausing the TV show while the song is playing... THEN asking the GA whats this song while it is quiet, it begings to listen for a song that is not playing....and then quickly press play on the TV.....and FINALLY the bloody thing recognises the song. I mean CAN YOU Fing BELIEVE IT?

So to get this straight....if a song is playing.... it wont work cause it says it needs to know the device...

BUT...if the song is not playing and you ask... it starts listening for a song.....THAT ISNT Fing PLAYING FFS... then is you start playing the song ONLY AFTER it has started listening for a song that is not there....it works.

I have really no words that do not include a excessive amount of expletives to describe this......issue.

I mean seriously.... GOOGLE... please get you SH!T together... I am tired of the updates and "Bug fixes" that end up creating more bugs. It is seriously frustrating.
